Stars are shown in half-star steps, rounded to the nearest half star. Bands: Excellent 4.5 - 5 · Great 3.5 - 4 · Good 2.5 - 3 · Fair 1.5 - 2 · Low 1. A company with no reviews shows grey “not yet rated” stars - never a fake score.

Badges are earned, not downloaded
- Any rating badge needs at least 10 approved reviews. Below that, the “Review us on PipCircle” button is available to every claimed company.
- Excellent (4.5 and 5) needs at least 25 approved reviews.
- The 5-star badge needs at least 20 five-star reviews and an average that rounds to 5.
- Verified seal is only for companies whose documents a PipCircle admin has verified.
- Verified reviews count. Excellent and the 5-star badge cannot be reached on open reviews alone - at least 10 of the counted reviews must be Verified reviews from your review invitations.
- If a company drops below a threshold, every live badge automatically falls back to the best badge it still qualifies for.
